An free-to-play demo version is set to release on the seventh of January, offering a generous taste into the game's opening hours. Critically, all save data earned within this demo can be carried over directly into the main game upon its February debut.

This title is a comprehensive reimagining of the seminal year 2000 JRPG, originally known as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a notable departure from other series remakes, like the previously launched HD-2D iterations, this reimagining utilizes a striking 3D aesthetic. Locales have been crafted to evoke intricate miniature worlds, with protagonists featuring a whimsical chibi-esque appearance.

• Expanded Vocation System: One completely new character role has been added for this reimagining. Furthermore, characters gain the capacity to master a secondary vocation, significantly expanding strategic depth.

These changes are designed to tackle a key the 2000 game's common criticisms: its considerable scope. The original storyline could easily require over 100 hours to complete. This reimagined edition was specifically designed to refine progression and cut down on perceived repetition.
