Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a well-attended California coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Footage posted on social media show the aircraft beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters reported five people were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” after the accident on that day.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

Authorities said the chopper was associated with an regular “Cars N Copters” benefit occasion planned for the following day.
